Course for education professionals: “Economics of Education for Policymakers and Practitioners”
This course “Economics of Education for Policymakers and Practitioners (part 1 and part 2).” helps education professionals make better use of economics tools when making complex decisions to improve quality, efficiency, equity, and sustainability of education systems. The principles learned—or refreshed--in this course will also provide a useful foundation for the final two-week face to face (F2F) workshop in the Strategic Choices for Education Reform program.
This course is highly participatory and stimulates critical thinking and reflection as you apply the skills and concepts to both your course exercises and your daily work in the education sector. Be diligent about contributing to the e-discussions regularly, as this offers great potential for learning from each other (as practitioners) and your facilitators. To complete the course, it is necessary to complete all modules and quizzes and participate actively in the discussion forums.
